We needed to invigorate the Honda brand and appeal to a younger audience, whilst still retaining our loyal fans. In a category saturated with TVCs depicting cars driving on mountain roads and through cities, we saw an opportunity to do something a little different - creating brand characters to represent Honda's Hybrid & Electric vehicle offering, giving the brand a truly ownable & memorable platform across TV, OOH, Digital and Social.
To launch Honda's first-ever EV in the New Zealand market, we leveraged Kenji & Ellie and brought on board a new character - their adorable son Stevie, who embraced the brand ethos of dreaming to bring the e:N1 to life.
An unmissable OOH special build, plus a suite of always-on social content were created throughout the campaign.
To showcase the new hybrid cars on social, I took a couple of Honda hybrid's on the road and covered 5000kms around New Zealand, with a camera and drone in hand to capture the amazing landscapes along the way.
